Carbon Poker is one of the newer additions to the Merge Gaming Network and was formerly known as Poker.com. The network has been rapidly expanding and adding new online poker rooms for a few years now. Carbon Poker has some of the best freeroll games and a nice Frequent Player program.
Software (8)
The lobby at Carbon Poker is easy to read and navigate. My one complaint is that there always seems to be an update to the software which literally takes less than a minute but when I want to play poker, I want to play now.
The layout of the lobby is clean and navigating through the different varieties of games is simple. Other nice things to see within the lobby are the current Jackpot amounts, a deposit button and, player history, and support button.

Carbon Poker is offering some great promotions right now. Players can win their way into various live poker tournaments including events at the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Tour, Aussie Millions and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
Another promotion that is being talked about quite a bit is the ‘Royal Flush Bonus’ where any player who gets a Royal Flush (which must be made using both pocket cards) at a Texas Hold’em ring game will receive a bonus of 100x the big blind! Carbon Poker also has a player loyalty program where depositing players can earn entries to exciting games.
Carbon, like many other online poker rooms, has a Bad Beat Jackpot where players who are seated at specific tables with a rake of more than 50c will win a portion of the jackpot if they have four of a kind (7s or higher) and get beat by a better hand.

Wow is one word that comes to mind when I think about the variety of games available at Carbon Poker. Not only will you be able to play the standard Texas Hold’em, Omaha and 7-Card Stud but you will be able to find some other great games here like Razz, 5-Card Stud, Ace to 5 Lowball, Badugi, BlackJack, Backgammon, Video Poker, Euchre, Roulette and Caribbean Stud which offers a progressive jackpot.
The table limits on the game varieties vary from game to game, those limits start at $.01/.02 for Stud , $.02/.04 for Texas Holdem and go up to $50/100. Your limits for Blackjack are $1 minimum and $50 maximum per hand.
Carbon Poker offers Heads up games as well as 6 and 10 person Sit-n-Go tables.
Site Traffic (7)
Carbon Poker currently averages about 3,500 people at off peak times and upwards of 8,000 players during peak times and especially during times when big satellite and guaranteed games are running. Another time when you will see lots of folks playing is during one of the dozens of big freeroll games offered throughout the month.
Cash Games (6)
As the satellite games for big live tournaments like the WSOP come out the amount of players at cash game tables decreases. You will still be able to find plenty of tables open with lots of good action.
Cash games also come in a variety of poker games including Texas Hold’em, Omaha, 5 & 7 Card Stud, Triple Draw, Badugi and Mixed games. The table limits for cash games here range from .01c/.02c to $50/$100. Play is also available at 9 person table, short handed and heads up. It would be nice to see some higher limits at the cash games.

The only down side to Carbon Poker is the lack of options for customer support. No live support or telephone support is offered. The only available method of support at this time is via email. But please note that the email support here is quite quick and very helpful.

At the time of this writing there have been no reported problems with the security of the CarbonPoker.com site.
Banking (6)
Carbon Poker offers several different options for making withdrawals and deposits. The current methods for deposits are Click2Pay, Neteller (in select countries only), ePassporte, MoneyBookers, my Citadel, Visa or Matercard, EcoCard, eWalletXpress, Fonelinx and also the newest addition, Pindebit.
The withdrawal methods are the same for all players except for those with in the United States and Canada. Having made several withdrawals from Carbon Poker the only thing I can comment on is that it does take about 3 weeks to receive a check and players are charged a $25 fee for cashing out via check.
